Under what circumstances is medical marijuana legal in the state of Oregon?
You can legally possess medical marijuana in the state of Oregon if a doctor has certified in writing that you have a qualifying debilitating medical condition and medical marijuana may mitigate the symptoms or effects of that condition. Additionally, the doctor must sign and date relevant medical records to be submitted to the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) along with your application to possess medical marijuana. You also have to submit the site on which you intend to grow medical marijuana, and keep the OMMP apprised of any changes in your information in writing within thirty (30) days of the change.
