I was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. I then attended Texas Tech University, graduating with my law degree and MBA.

I began my legal career in San Antonio representing accused citizens as well as business owners in civil matters. I later served as a Lubbock County Deputy District Attorney for almost four years. For the past 8 years, I have served as a Travis County Deputy District Attorney.

Throughout my career as a prosecutor, I have tried cases before a jury ranging from traffic violations to first degree murder and many more crimes. I proudly represented the Austin community in the prosecution of the SXSW First Degree Murder Trial and the Tarrytown Murder.
