Attorney Ronald Frederick
Attorney Ronald Frederick officially launched his consumer law practice in 1997 to protect and defend consumers who are taken advantage of in fraudulent businesses. He has represented clients against banks, car dealers, debt collectors, predatory lenders, and more.
At Cleveland Consumer Law, our attorneys believe in pursuing dishonest and abusive creditors and businesses. We do this not only for the benefit of the consumers but also for honest businesses that play by the rules and treat consumers fairly. Our firm pursues this mission by defending individual cases for wronged consumers, as well as initiating broad-scale class actions to end deceptive and abusive business practices.
Attorney Michael L. Berler
For nearly eight years, Attorney Michael L. Berler has worked with Mr. Frederick as class co-counsel in several dozen cases. He has been integrally involved in our firm’s largest cases, handling everything from drafting class complaints to writing appeals briefs. Mr. Berler has extensive knowledge of consumer law, making him one of our firm’s extremely competent lawyers.
Prior to working for Mr. Frederick and becoming his partner, Mr. Berler worked pro bono for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, handling dozens of foreclosure mediations. Mr. Berler had the most extensive mediation caseload and winning record in the department. He was asked by the head of the foreclosure mediation department to conduct a training seminar for other attorneys to teach them his methodology.
Attorney Michael L. Fine
Attorney Michael L. Fine is a service-oriented professional, educator, and advisor. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Michael received his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law. He has lived and worked in Cleveland, OH for the past 11 years and has been admitted to California and before several federal courts.
While in law school, he worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Los Angeles County Dependency Court, advocating on behalf of abused and neglected children. He was subsequently appointed as a panel attorney for the Dependency Court and represented clients in private practice.
Attorney Jacquelyn S. Frederick
Attorney Jacquelyn S. Frederick began her career in government and public service working for the Governor’s Office of Arizona. She worked first as a Media Specialist then as Director of Constituent Services Department, where she served the public addressing their concerns and questions.
After obtaining her JD and MBA from Arizona State University, Ms. Frederick worked in the insurance industry. She handled auto arbitration and subrogation claims for Farmers Insurance Company in Arizona. In Ohio, she worked at Progressive Insurance.
