Kreindler’s longtime position as the leader in aviation accident law can be traced back to 1952 when Lee S. Kreindler proved that a malfunctioning propeller on a National Airlines DC-6 caused a crash that killed 35 people. It was the first plaintiffs’ personal injury of its kind, and the jury awarded $300,000 — then the highest award ever in an airline crash lawsuit.
