Attorney Nancy Long

Nancy R. Long was raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She received her undergraduate degree in history from Santa Clara University in 1978. She also attended the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Mexico in 1983.

Her practice focuses on land use, real estate, higher education law, public entity law, governmental relations, commercial litigation, corporate and business client representation. She is on the Board of Directors of Century Bank; the Board of Regents of New Mexico Highlands University; and the Board of the New Mexico Educational Assistance Foundation. She also serves on the City of Santa Fe's Ethics and Campaign Review Board. She is a member of the Zia Chapter of Lambda Alpha International.

She is a former Member of the City of Santa Fe Planning Commission and chaired the Urban Policy Committee of that Commission before serving as a Development Review Committee Commissioner. She served as the Chair of the Extraterritorial Zoning Commission for fourteen years. She also served on the board of the Santa Fe Community Foundation. She is a former Member of the Board of Trustees of St. Vincent Hospital. She previously served as a continuing education liaison to the Young Lawyers Division and subsequently served the State Bar on the Trial Practice Section Board. She was a member of the Oliver Seth Inn of Courts.

Ms. Long is a member of the Bars of New Mexico, the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.


Attorney Mark Komer

Mark Komer focuses his practice on civil litigation with a special emphasis on civil rights, constitutional law, personal injury and appeals. His civil rights experience includes litigating cases under Title VII, 42 U.S.C. Section 1983, the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, the New Mexico Whistleblower Protection Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the New Mexico Human Rights Act. In the personal injury area, Mr. Komer’s practice focuses on catastrophic injury cases, nursing home litigation and medical malpractice. Mr. Komer's appellate experience includes appearances before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the New Mexico Supreme Court and the New Mexico Court of Appeals. Several of his published appellate cases established new law in New Mexico.

Mr. Komer received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia in 1988. He received his undergraduate degree from Ithaca College in 1985 and high school diploma from The Norfolk Academy in 1981. In 2005, the New Mexico Supreme Court appointed Mr. Komer as Chair of the Rules of Civil Procedure Committee, and he served as a member of that Committee from 2003 through 2008. Mr. Komer is presently a fellow with the Litigation Counsel of America. He is also a member of the Federal Bar Association and the New Mexico Medical Review Commission. He served on the State Bar Quality of Life Committee. Mr. Komer has lectured on a wide range of legal topics including the New Mexico Whistleblower Protection Act, Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure, electronic discovery, nursing home and long-term care facilities, law office management, maintaining professional and personal life balance as well as other topics.


Attorney Jonas M. Nahoum

Upon graduating magna cum laude from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 2003, Mr. Nahoum served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable D. Lowell Jensen of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. As a federal clerk, Mr. Nahoum faced a broad range of duties including conducting legal research, preparing bench memos, drafting orders and opinions, proofreading the judge's orders and opinions, verifying citations, communicating with counsel regarding case management and procedural requirements, and assisting the judge during courtroom proceedings. Upon completing his clerkship, Mr. Nahoum served as a litigation associate at one of San Francisco’s top law firms, Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin (currently Arnold & Porter), for four years, representing clients in matters involving attorney professional responsibility and ethics, business and banking law, white collar criminal defense, and appeals before the California Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. After moving to Santa Fe in 2009, Mr. Nahoum represented borrowers in foreclosure during the height of the housing crisis that affected New Mexico homeowners from 2010 through 2013. Currently, Mr. Nahoum’s practice encompasses both transactional and litigation matters, representing New Mexico public entities in public finance, insurance defense, utility issues, and civil rights and other constitutional issues.
