Attorney Jeffrey W. Buckman

Jeff's areas of practice include business, corporate, and real estate transactions, estate planning, and general civil litigation. Jeff has successfully handled complicated and high profile litigation matters in both State and Federal Courts throughout Michigan, including several multi-million dollar recoveries involving personal injury. He is an experienced trial lawyer with success in complex commercial litigation cases of virtually every type. 

His representative clients range from financial institutions, insurance companies, manufacturers, and a variety of closely-held companies of all sizes, to individual business owners, shareholders, executives, professionals, and other individuals. Jeff knows his way around a courtroom and has had tremendous success on behalf of his clients for decades. Jeff also has an active mediation/alternative dispute resolution practice. 

Jeff has successfully mediated numerous cases in State and Federal Courts throughout Michigan and takes great pride in the fact that an extremely high percentage of the cases he mediates settle as a result of the mediation. Attorney Douglas R. MacDonald

Doug has practiced law in the Holland area since 1985. His practice includes business, corporate, and real estate transactions; business management and operational issues; business entity formation and organizational issues; business ownership issues; commercial and residential leases; business and estate planning; and probate and trust administration. 

Doug graduated from George Washington University National Law Center in 1985 (J.D. with honors). While in law school, Doug served as Managing Editor of the George Washington Journal of International Law & Economics (1984-1985). Previously, Doug completed his undergraduate degree at Alma College in 1982 (B.A. Business Administration & Political Science summa cum laude).

Attorney James O. Brown

Jim has been helping clients since 1980 with matters involving business, real estate, and construction law. He has particular expertise in working with family businesses; including corporations and limited liability companies; condominium developers and owners' associations; commercial and residential real estate developers and building contractors; and landlords and tenants.

Active in the State Bar of Michigan, Jim has served as co-chair of the Real Property Law Section's Special Committee on Condominiums, PUDs, and Cooperatives. Jim is also a speaker on condominiums  and real estate topics.

Attorney Anne L. Tuinstra

Anne is an experienced mediator and litigator, primarily practicing in the areas of Divorce and Family Law; however, she also maintains a busy Civil Litigation, Estate Planning and Business practice. 

Anne is skillful and compassionate as she guides her clients through some of life’s most difficult experiences. Anne’s attentive and sympathetic demeanor combined with her expertise, efficiency and strong work ethic give her clients an immediate sense of trust.  Her knowledge of the law and passion for her clients make her a focused, dedicated advocate. 

Anne graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1997 and earned her law degree from Michigan State University – Detroit College of Law in 2001.  She started her legal career defending workers’ compensation claims and litigating complex banking, real estate and insurance cases. For a number of years in between her years in private practice, Anne enjoyed her role as In-House Counsel for two fast-paced, international companies. However, her passion for working with people and navigating tough circumstances for individual clients brought her back to private practice.
