Attorney Jeffrey E. Martin

Jeffrey E. Martin "Jeff" is a trusted Chicago lawyer who has dedicated his career to representing those who have suffered injury or loss due to the negligence of others.

He becomes his clients' voices during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Jeff has won numerous complex cases in excess of $1,000,000. This is no coincidence. He achieves this by having a thorough knowledge of the subject matter and by crafting a clear and consistent line of reasoning that juries can understand and that insurance adjusters take seriously.

In a recent case, Jeff won a verdict of $5,500,000 in a medical malpractice case of a husband and father whose death was caused by a pulmonary embolism that occurred before the scheduled surgery even started. From the moment he met the family, Jeff made it his business to learn the "medicine" behind this tragedy and investigate where the standard of care had been breached.

Attorney Shauna M. Martin

Shauna Martin is a highly skilled trial attorney who began her career at a notable Chicago firm where she concentrated on civil defense litigation, specifically in the area of medical negligence. She has tried numerous cases resulting in favorable verdicts for her clients.

Relentless in and out of the courtroom, Shauna has successfully defended her clients. Thus, she has a unique understanding when it comes to the mindset of insurance and corporate entities and is well versed in a wide variety of medical specialties including surgery, dentistry and psychiatry.

In addition to her outstanding knowledge of the healthcare business, Shauna excels in national and international cases involving product liability. She has significant experience with product manufacturers and distributors of bicycles, tools, punch press machines, recreational equipment and e-cigarettes in both the U.S. and abroad. She is well versed in the business of hospitality providers, including ski resorts, restaurants and recreational facilities.

Shauna graduated from Loyola University of Chicago Law School with honors. During her time at Loyola, she clerked at one of the city's premier plaintiff's personal injury law firms and for Honorable William D. Maddux, former chief judge of the Law Division in Cook County. This unique experience handling cases from both the plaintiff and defense sides gives her a dual perspective and a deeper understanding of legal matters. Shauna's distinctive ability to thoroughly analyze cases has led to the most favorable resolution strategies possible for each of her clients.

I met Shauna Martin after contacting Martin Law, LLC, to assist me with two auto accidents and trying to get retribution for pain and suffering in the matters. Shauna, very personable, confident and knows her law guided me through some difficult fact finding and deposition. At this time she was 7 months pregnant and didn’t stop until and after she delivered and one of the cases was settled. She continued to contact me even though other people would turn it over to another attorney to take maternity leave. Not Shauna, she’s a real go-getter and gets the work done professionally and positively. – Shirley Lance, November 2019

After almost running out of time on an injury I got thank goodness I found Jeffrey Martin. With time almost gone, he reassured me he’d take care of me. He and his daughter Shauna answered every single question I had and looked after my case. They’re very skilled and will not stop until they get the answers they want. If you need an attorney that’ll treat you like family…look no further. you’ve found the right one. – Jeanine Wright, July 2019

Trusted partner is the best way that I can describe Jeff. For almost, six years, Jeff worked with us on a very challenging and drawn out lawsuit. Throughout the entire process, Jeff provided great advice leveraging his professional legal knowledge while understanding the personal implications of all that we went through. Jeff was very accessible and accommodating for all the questions and concerns, and there were lots of them, throughout. He was always willing to talk and explain and advise. He consistently did more than I would have expected a lawyer to do. In the end, there is no question that Jeff was the difference between a very positive settlement and perhaps none at all. My wife and I very highly recommend Jeff. – Rob Stevens, April 2019

I used Jeff previously in a lawsuit for my mom when he was at a large law office. He was great and I really enjoyed working with him. When my Dad passed away due to negligence and wrongful death from a nursing home, there was only one attorney I needed to help me and that was Jeff. I walked into his office and told him I need his help with Dad, he listened to me and was really compassionate about what he was hearing. Jeff knew my Dad from the previous case we had with my mom. Jeff went to work. He knew what we needed to do. Jeff is so knowledgeable experienced and is so compassionate. Although this case was very hard on me, it was a pleasure to work with Jeff again. He gets to know his clients personally. This was very helpful to know he understands your emotions. Jeff does not mind when you help him on certain details, or make suggestions, etc. he makes you part of his team. I am glad he was on my side; Jeff is a very good attorney and always has his clients best at hand. I highly recommend Jeff Martin to anyone. Dealing with a death is very hard for the families, but Jeff thru his professionalism compassion, knowledge and experience made this horrible ordeal a little better to handle. We won our case and now we have time to heal. Thank you Jeff for all you have done for me and will continue to do for others. – Sue Scott, February 2018

Jeffrey took the time to find a video of automobile accident I was involved in. One that the police failed to provide me with. I was knocked unconscious and lost my wife during the accident, I had no memory of it. I was told that the accident was my fault. I was filled with grief and sorrow. Several months after the accident I received a call from Jeffrey informing me that he received a video of the accident and that I was not responsible for the collision. Thanks to Jeffrey my mind is at ease and he is holding those responsible for the collision accountable. – Anonymous, October 2017
