Attorney Amber R. Oliver
Ms. Oliver is the managing partner of the firm with over ten years of litigation experience. After graduating from Georgia State University College of law, she began her legal career in 2009 as an Associate Lawyer in Alpharetta, Georgia. There she practiced domestic relations and family law litigation. She also worked with a Special Assistant Attorney General and prosecuted hundreds of child support enforcement cases for Fulton County Division of Child Support Services. Ms. Oliver worked for an international litigation firm in Atlanta and Marietta, Georgia for six years prior to beginning her own litigation practice and then partnering with Oliver Hughes LLC.
Attorney Ashley L. Hughes
Ms. Hughes is a Partner in the Firm’s General and Business Litigation practice groups. Prior to joining Evins Oliver Hughes, LLC, Ms. Hughes worked for several Atlanta-area law firms where she specialized in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes and professional liability claims. Ms. Hughes also has experience representing clients in probate, intellectual property, real estate and commercial litigation.
In addition to her courtroom experience, Ms. Hughes frequently serves as a presiding judge in undergraduate mock trial competitions.
Ms. Hughes received her Juris Doctor from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where she served as President of the Environmental Law Society and Vice President of the Mercer Technology and Intellectual Property Society. While in law school, Ms. Hughes received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Patent Law & Litigation and competed in the ABA Regional Negotiation and Arbitration Competitions. Ms. Hughes graduated cum laude with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Political Science and Biology from Kennesaw State University. There, she participated on the Mock Trial Team, serving as both Team Leader and Attorney.
Attorney Nils H. Okeson
Prior to joining Oliver Hughes, LLC, Mr. Okeson worked as a law clerk for the insurance defense firm, Eraclides Gelman where he specialized in workers’ compensation litigation claims. Mr. Okeson received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as the Vice President of the Georgia International Law Society. While attending law school, Mr. Okeson worked as a research assistant under Dean Peter “Bo” Rutledge towards the completion of International Civil Litigation in United States Courts, Sixth Edition. He also completed the Georgia Mediation Practicum and the Criminal Defense Practicum in which he worked for the Western Circuit Public Defender. Mr. Okeson also spent one summer overseas working for the London-based property law firm Maples Teesdale. Prior to law school, he received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a concentration in probability and statistics from the University of Virginia.
