Attorney Eric C. Crawford
Attorney Eric C. Crawford graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005. He completed a third-year internship prosecuting cases for the Athens Clarke County District Attorney’s Office. Eric then moved to the Walton County District Attorney’s Office. While there, Eric began one of the first Internet Crimes Against Children Units in Georgia. He focuses on computer- and internet-related crimes.
Eric has lectured to law enforcement officers and prosecutors on internet- and computer-related crimes. Additionally, Eric has successfully conducted jury trials on both serious crimes such as murder and rape, as well as misdemeanors and traffic violations.
Attorney David E. Boyle
Attorney David E. Boyle graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1997. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Melodie Clayton in Cobb County State Court. After that, he worked for the Gwinnett County Solicitor’s Office prosecuting traffic and DUI cases in Recorder’s Court. David spent many years working for the Dekalb and Walton County District Attorney’s office as a member of the Domestic Violence Unit prosecuting serious violent felony cases, including, murder, rape, armed robbery, child molestation, and other violent and drug offenses. He lectured to law enforcement officers on various topics and has taught prosecutors at the Basic Litigation course.
David was featured on Investigation Discovery for his successful murder prosecutions in Main Street Mysteries episode “Murder in a Small Town,” and on Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets episode “Missing Mother’s Day.”
Since leaving prosecution, David has been representing persons accused or suspected of criminal wrongdoing. David is the past-secretary of the Gwinnett County Bar Association – Criminal Section. He has been featured in television news stories with Randy Travis’ Fox 5 Atlanta I-Team Investigations and CBS-46 investigations into the Walton County Sheriff’s Department corruption and drug investigations.
David has been a guest lecturer for the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He attends St. Oliver Plunkett’s Catholic Church in Snellville and is an avid Florida State Seminoles fan.
Attorney Kevin C. Charles
Kevin grew up in a military family, but for most of his life he has been proud to call Georgia home. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2010 with a degree in economics, Kevin attended law school at the University of Mississippi. While in law school Kevin, worked extensively in the University of Mississippi Child Advocacy Clinic where he acted as guardian ad litem in child custody disputes. He was also afforded the opportunity to serve internships where he assisted criminal defendants in fighting their charges. It was through his law school internships that Kevin developed a passion for helping good people who were facing serious trouble with the law.
Upon graduating law school, Kevin worked primarily in civil practice before transitioning to the Office of the Public Defender for Barrow County. While there, Kevin represented clients who had been charged with all manner of offenses ranging from misdemeanors and DUIs to serious felonies such as child molestation and murder. Through his work as a public defender, Kevin was able to obtain favorable outcomes in the cases of countless clients. During this time, he also worked extensively with the Barrow County Drug and Mental Health Courts where he was given the opportunity to assist clients who were suffering from addiction and other mental illnesses.
In addition to his job as a civilian attorney, Kevin also serves as an attorney and commissioned officer in United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps. His duties in the Army give him the opportunity to serve those who serve our country by assisting them with the various legal issues they face both at home and abroad.
Kevin is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia which he attends with his wife and their two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, lifting weights, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Attorney Al Tailor
Attorney Al Tailor graduated from Western Michigan Law School in 2013. Prior to joining Crawford & Boyle, Mr. Tailor served as a Public Defender in both Barrow County and Dekalb County, where he represented clients facing serious charges spanning from traffic citations to homicides. Mr. Tailor continued his public service at the Attorney General’s Office of Georgia, where he prosecuted Medicaid Fraud cases in conjunction with the United States Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. There, he received the Attorney of the Year award and an Outstanding Litigator award for successfully prosecuting a multi-million dollar fraud case in the Northern District of Georgia. In 2018, Mr. Tailor decided to diversify his legal experience and joined Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, as a senior civil trial attorney.
Over the past decade, Mr. Tailor has been involved in various pro bono activities including coaching and mentoring high school mock trial teams, as well as serving as a judge for the annual Empire Mock Trial competition held locally in Atlanta. Mr. Tailor is a frequent guest lecturer on advanced trial skills at Western Michigan Law School, where he shares his courtroom experiences with law students.
When Mr. Tailor is not in the courtroom zealously advocating for his clients, he enjoys performing live music with his band, and spending time in his woodshop, designing and building unique pieces of furniture. Mr. Tailor is a member of the Terminus Legion and an avid fan and supporter of Atlanta United FC.
Attorney Sarah Dobbins
Sarah R. Dobbins serves as a Civil Attorney with Crawford & Boyle, LLC. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of Minnesota. During her undergraduate career, Sarah studied abroad in Toledo, Spain where she interned in their human rights courts.
Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Mercer Law School and is a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. Sarah gained multiple experiences in the legal field during her law school career. Sarah worked as an intern for The Honorable Judge Todd Markle at the Georgia Court of Appeals where she worked on cases ranging from contracts, criminal, and family law. Sarah also interned for The Honorable Judge Phillip Raymond at the Bibb County Superior Court whose sole caseload was family law. There Sarah was able to attend hearings, trials, and parental accountability court giving her a comprehensive understanding of the areas of alimony, child support, custody, and division of marital property. Sarah also helped form and volunteered at a family law clinic in Bibb County where she was able to provide pro bono services to clients to serve the need for affordable family law assistance in middle Georgia.
Since graduating law school, Sarah has done work for Bibb County Board of Elections, the County Tax Commissioners Office, and multiple insurance companies. Sarah has familiarity with insurance defense and Plaintiff personal injury cases. Primarily, Sarah’s work experience has been focused on domestic law including the handling of uncontested and contested divorce cases; child custody; legitimation; and adoptions.
While Sarah is a native to Minnesota, she has called Georgia her home for the last six years. In her free time, Sarah is actively involved in her church, enjoys hiking in national and state parks, and spends time with her family, friends, and goldendoodle, Walter.
