Providing Determined Advocacy and Personal Service for Over 30 Years

When it comes to picking a lawyer, experience matters. At Nugent & Bryant, we believe that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well. From the earliest days of our founding, we set out to take on only those cases that were worth doing – the types of cases that inspired us to become lawyers in the first place. We take cases in which good, hardworking people had been hurt through no fault of their own. We still use this same philosophy today, over 30 years later. We are one of the region’s premier law firms practicing in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, tractor-trailer crashes, motorcycle accidents and car accidents.

Accessible. Experienced. Aggressive. These are the key qualities of top trial lawyers. At Nugent & Bryant, Jim Nugent heads up our litigation practice. As lead trial counsel, Jim fights for justice for clients throughout Connecticut in both state and federal courts.

The best trial attorneys know how to tell their clients’ stories. In today’s fast-paced world, we are inundated with news coverage of accidents and tragedies. It is easy to become desensitized to misfortune. Early in his career, Jim learned that being an advocate for his clients meant giving them a voice. It meant humanizing their stories so judges and juries could see beyond the facts to the person underneath. Jim invests tremendous time, energy, and resources in every case he takes on. More importantly, he invests in his clients – in their stories, their struggles, and their goals. Jim has tried over 75 cases, telling the story of each client to ensure they receive the justice and compensation they deserve.
