Mediation allows for the development of creative solutions and provides certainty and finality when it comes to meeting the needs of you and your family. As your Mediator, Elizabeth will help you and your spouse navigate through all of the issues that you will need to address in your divorce. During this process, you may also select independent legal advice from an attorney of your choice.
Collaborative Divorce utilizes a non-adversarial approach that empowers couples to come together, without the Court’s involvement, to establish workable outcomes for the specific needs of their family. Both parties select a collaborative divorce attorney and then work together with a divorce coach and a financial neutral to accomplish common goals and interests for the family as you work through the various issues to be addressed during your separation and divorce.
In collaborative mediation, Elizabeth will facilitate the discussion with you and your spouse regarding options for distribution of the marital estate, determining support responsibilities (when appropriate) and the drafting of necessary paperwork to submit to the court to conclude the divorce. In collaborative mediation, the process is with the assistance of a divorce coach tending to the emotional and psychological needs for the family and a financial neutral assisting with a full disclosure of assets/debts and individual future budgeting for both parties.
