Louis C. Raymond II is an attorney, motivational speaker, political strategist, mentor, and a former U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer. Currently he is the Principal of The Raymond Law Group, practicing in a wide range of legal disciplines, including Family Law, Tax, Corporate, General and Commercial Litigation. The Raymond Law Group is also devoted to assisting not-for-profit organizations and small businesses.
Louis was born and raised in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, IL. It was here that he learned leadership and the meaning of service from his mother. It was this devotion to service that lead Louis, after graduating from Illinois State University with a B.A. in Political Science, to becoming a teacher.
While teaching, Louis earned a Master’s degree in Policy Studies from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. In order to apply his masters further, and to also continue his devotion to service, Louis joined the US Navy. As a Naval Intelligence Officer he participated in Operation Enduring Freedom helping to coordinate operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also participated in operations chancing pirates of the coast of Somalia, similar to those made popular in the movie “Captain Phillips.” After a five year Naval career, Louis received an honorably discharged and enrolled in law school at John Marshall Law School. Since graduating, JMLS in 2012, in addition to his practice, Louis has served as Political Director for Obama For America, Director of Governmental Affairs for the Chicago Housing Authority and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor for DePaul University
Louis is also a devoted husband to Lauren Raymond, Esq, and two adorable children, Louis ‘Trey” Raymond III and Liberty Raymond.
