After graduating with honors from law school he immediately started working in the area of personal injury. His experience with some of the larger firms in Las Vegas prepared him to handle all types of cases from simple car accident cases to complex multi-party tort cases.
Cory has been fortunate enough to obtain significant trial experience and has taken a number of cases to verdict. He serves as a court appointed arbitrator in Nevada's Court-Annexed Arbitration Program and as a Pro Tem judge in the Nevada Short-Trial Program. He speaks Spanish fluently and has worked extensively with the Hispanic community by providing legal advice and representation without the need of a translator or legal assistant in the room.
In his spare time, Cory enjoys all types of outdoor and sporting activities. He loves spending time with family. He has been married to his wife Kimberly for 20 years. He also spends a great deal of time with his three children, two of which have been diagnosed with severe autism. Justin began his legal career as a personal injury lawyer in Southern Nevada in 2000. Born and raised in the State of Oregon, Justin, with his wife Mandy moved to Southern Nevada immediately after graduating from law school to begin his career. Justin's first job was for a firm that focused on trial work, where he was introduced to the area of personal injury litigation. Within the first eight months of obtaining his license to practice law, Justin was handling jury trials in all types of cases from simple car accident cases to complex multi-party tort cases.
Justin has been fortunate enough to have litigated personal injury cases at such a high level that he was inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which recognizes the outstanding achievements of trial lawyers throughout the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won verdicts or settlements in excess of one million dollars. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. Additionally, Justin serves as a court appointed arbitrator in Nevada's Court-Annexed Arbitration Program where he oversees cases, listens to evidence, and renders decisions on those cases in the program.
Justin played college basketball prior to attending law school, which taught him a lot about hard work and connecting with people. He very much continues to enjoy playing the game as well as coaching youth sports. In his spare time, you will often find Justin playing golf or a pick up game of basketball, or perhaps out on Lake Mead. He loves spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife Mandy for 20 years, and along with her, he spends a great deal of time with his four (4) children. Justin has two boys and two girls, and he recommends everyone planning to have four kids should do it that way.
After their second child was born, Justin's wife Mandy was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and they have since worked with local members of the MS community in order to raise awareness of the condition, and fight for a cure. It is a cause that continues to be incredibly important to him today.
