Garden Grove Tax Law Firm

What makes my law firm, the Tax Law Office of Jayson M. Aquino, CPA, Esq., quite different from any other tax firms or law firms is the personal attention I give to each and every one of my clients. I know it’s the usual cliché but I really do invest personal attention to details of all my clients as much as possible because I want them to know that unlike other law firms where they will just throw your files to a staff member after the retainer was signed. I made it a mission to always be on top of their case and to be responsive and pro-active during the course of representation.
A client’s potential legal problem in my area of practice usually happens once the client has their taxes done from some cookie cutter “tax company” or receive legal and tax advice from those who neither has the training or qualification to provide such advice. The client will then receive a letter from the IRS or the Franchise Tax Board requiring them to answer such letter together with additional payment of interest and penalties. While I see them confused because they were led to believe that these people would help them if a problem arises, almost all clients do not know that there are only certain professionals that can represent them before the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board.
Another potential client’s legal problem is erroneous or incomplete legal and tax advice from other attorneys with no training and experience in the area of accounting and actual tax practice. While their legal advice is sound and textbook, the actual reality of a client’s concern is not addressed because tax practice unlike other law medium is not all theoretical but mostly practical. Taxation is very complex, usually dependent on a host of factors like nationality, treaty, residency and the like. Small business owners typically fall into this folly because the accountants they run into usually gives erroneous legal advice or the lawyers who incorporate their business did not pay attention to the tax consequences of the entity they established.
The strength of our firm lies on the fact as both a Certified Public Accountant and Attorney-at-Law, I am uniquely qualified to provide both Accounting, Tax and Legal advice to mostly small entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals. From the set up of their entity, whether C Corporation or S Corporation, LLC or sole proprietorship, or whether to adopt either cash or accrual basis of accounting, to what tax savings vehicle they need to invest to fund their retirements, expand their business, etc., I can truly help clients navigate their way to a vast complex of legal and tax strategies so they can focus on what they do best – make money in their business. To summarize, a client who retains our services would get sound legal and accounting advice and would not experience the difficulty of having to hire both a CPA and a lawyer.
I typically relate to my clients because I was a small business owner myself before, therefore I know the difficulty of being self-employed from raising capital, choice of entity, contracts, etc. and I know one erroneous advice could cause unnecessary stress or financial hit. Also, as a migrant from the Philippines, I take great pride in helping immigrant business owners as they navigate the U.S. laws in the area of taxation and corporation because I believe that business diversity adds value to our country.
