Mr. Moylen was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1978. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Gary was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1987. He is also one of only 2% of all New Jersey attorneys who is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.
Gary was also appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to 2 separate 4 year terms on the Supreme Court of New Jersey District XIII Ethics Committee, where he investigated and prosecuted cases of attorney misconduct. He was also honored to be appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Legal Services of Northwest New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association, N.J. State Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association, the Warren County Bar Association, the New Jersey Association of Justice and other professional organizations. Mr. Moylen also represents a number of churches, both Catholic and Protestant, as pro bono general counsel. He has also supported Covenant House, a national outreach for runaway children, for years.
In 1982, Mr. Moylen’s oldest brother was brutally murdered. As a result, he became active in the Crime Victims Rights movement. In association with other crime victims, including the parents of murdered children, Mr. Moylen was instrumental in having the New Jersey Constitution amended to provide for and protect the rights of the victims of violent crimes. In the years since, he has represented the victims of violent crime in a variety of contexts – whether it be to obtain state benefits, to sue for the lack of security or to sue the perpetrator for damages or otherwise.
Over the years, Mr. Moylen has won millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients. However, Mr. Moylen cares for all his clients – even those not catastrophically injured. His focus is to make sure that his injured clients are fairly compensated for their injuries- regardless of how serious those injuries.
