The contact lens solution ReNu with MoistureLoc was found to contain a substance known as Fusarium, which can cause an eye infection called keratitis. Patients with this infection experience pain, discomfort, light sensitivity, and loss of vision. This condition requires expensive antifungal drug therapy and in some cases, surgery to remove any ulcers, lesions, or other unhealthy growths.
