$150,000+ Jury Verdict in Federal Court Against Federal Express
Our client was driving down a Falls Township, Bucks County road picking up her partner from work when a FedEx box truck blew a stop sign and t-boned her car causing severe injuries. After she treated conservatively for well over a year, it was recommended that she have a spinal fusion surgery due to ongoing debilitating pain and radicular symptoms down her arm. She underwent a double level spinal fusion surgery which relieved most of her radicular symptoms, but she was left we intense constant neck pain. She also had to change careers due to her post surgical medical restrictions.
A lawsuit was filed in the Philadelphia Court System but was removed by FedEx's attorneys to Federal Court. The case was litigated extensively and experts were retained. A multi-day trial was conducted whereby a conservative jury found FedEx liable for the crash and the injuries caused to our client.

$2,470,00 Recovery for Broken Back
A Bristol, Pennsylvania man was just a mile from his home when he was rear-ended by an armored car. He was stopped at a red light on Route 13 and it had just started to rain. The force of the collision caused a spinal fracture which required spinal surgery with implementation of hardware. Our client's surgical site then became infected and the hardware that was inserted in his spine had to be removed. He then developed MRSA in the hospital and required significant wound care. Finally, he developed a drop-foot condition due to his back injury where he has to walk with a cane for the remainder of his life.
The Pennsylvania personal injury attorneys at Saile & Saile LLP filed a lawsuit in Philadelphia County and the defense quickly removed the case to Federal Court. Michael Saile was then able to convince a federal judge to sent the case back to the preferred Philadelphia court. Discovery was conducted including depositions.
We were able to uncover the fact that the armored car driver was hired just about two days prior to the crash with the most minimal training. The driver was then fired the day after the crash. The names of the defendants and their insurance companies are kept confidential per agreement.
After a full day of Mediation and a Pretrial Settlement conference and much negotiating, we were able to reach a fair settlement for our permanently injured client.

$500,000 Recovered for Crash on the Newtown Bypass
This auto accident took place in Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Our client's car was struck when a driver made a left turn without yielding to oncoming traffic.
She sustained great injury to her cervical spine and lumbar spine, as well as to right upper extremities. Our client suffered daily with significant headaches and neck pain, as well as pain in her back, right arm, shoulder, and fingers. She was diagnosed with cervical disc herniation and cervical radiculopathy. She underwent epidural injections, which yielded no relief. Our client was evaluated by both an orthopedic surgeon and a neurologist; spinal surgery was recommended. She underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion surgery at C4-5, C5-6, and C6-7. This surgical procedure did not alleviate her pain and the symptoms limiting her mobility remained. She then had to undergo a second invasive surgical procedure: posterior surgical fusion at C5-6 and C6-7 with instrumentation and iliac crest bone graft. This surgery delivered a very long and arduous recovery period, yet not complete relief from her pain.
This case never entered litigation, instead a final settlement of $500,000 was reached which consisted of full policy limits.

Our client was rear ended on the entry ramp from Street Road onto Route 1 North in Bensalem, PA. As he waited for traffic to clear his SUV was struck by the defendant's car. After several months of treating for his injuries, our client who lives in Morrisville, PA contacted the Law Firm of Saile & Saile LLP because he knew something was wrong.
Prior to filing a lawsuit, his claim was denied by Liberty Mutual because they felt his injuries were not serious enough as he chose the limited tort auto insurance option.
