Wages and Hours

Cases that have to do with employee earnings and work time are often called wages and hours cases. These matters may be governed by federal and/or state law, as well as administrative regulations and rulings. Many wages and hours issues are brought before the National Labor Relations Board for hearing. Matters can become complex, involving collective bargaining issues, company work policies, specific industry-based regulation and state and federal statutory and case law. Attorneys who practice in this field tend to be litigators with years of experience representing individuals or businesses before various Department of Labor hearings and other proceedings.
