Right to Bear Arms
Similar to other issues involving the Constitution, the Second Amendment also raises unique legal challenges. The Second Amendment concerns whether or not an individual has a constitutional protection to keep and bear arms. Since its ratification, Second Amendment issues have been heard by the United States Supreme Court in fewer cases as compared to other Constitutional cases in which the justices have granted review. Nonetheless, Second Amendment issues which are challenged in the courts can range from a criminal unlawful possession of a firearm to possession of a legally acquired firearm while living in government funded housing.
