Mitchell H. Dugan, Principal

Workers' compensation Attorney Mitchell H. Dugan gained many years of experience by representing clients at various law firms throughout the Pittsburgh area. After gaining enough experience, he created his own firm that provides legal representation to injured persons without fee unless recovery is made. After practicing law for more than 17 years, he remains committed to helping clients get the compensation they are entitled to.

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Attorney Mitchell H. Dugan practiced at Fingeret, Pollock, Cohen & Zavarella, Stone & Stone and Alexander J. Pentecost prior to starting his own firm in 2000. Francis J. Scott, Of Counsel

Francis Scott has been practicing law in the Western Pennsylvania area since 1988 in the areas of workers' compensation and general civil litigation. For several of those years, Attorney Francis J. Scott represented insurance carriers in litigation matters. Francis J. Scott graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 1988. He worked in hospitals as a Radiologic Technologist from 1978 to 1985 and served as part-time supervisor of a Cardiology Department during that time. Attorney J. Francis Scott is a member of the American Bar Association, The Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association. He serves as Councilman for Baldwin Borough and was formerly the Chairman of the borough's Zoning Hearing Board. He is also President of the South Hill Industrial Development Corporation.

John E. Gusdonevich, Jr., Private Investigator

Dugan & Associates enlists the investigative services of Gusdonevich & Associates Investigative Services. John Gusdonevich, founder of the company, has more than 25 years of professional investigative experience for both civil and criminal attorneys. Private Investigator Gusdonevich serves as an independent contractor for Dugan & Associates, frequently investigating cases including: personal injury, products liability, municipal liability, dram shop, medical malpractice and fire and arson. Mr. Gusdonevich's broad experience also includes criminal investigative work. Prior to starting his own business in 1995, Mr. Gusdonevich served as Chief Investigator for Edgar Snyder & Associates, LLC. As such, he supervised and trained independent investigators in the Tri-State area and managed the scope and direction of the Firm's investigative caseload.

Investigator Gusdonevich is a member of National Association of Legal Investigators and an associate member of the Evidence Photographers International Council. He is licensed and bonded as a private detective in Allegheny County.

Martin G. Colavincenzo, Associate

Attorney Colavincenzo has been with Dugan & Associates since 2004. Prior to joining the Firm he spent most of his career with Kemper Insurance Company in their workers' compensation department. Attorney Colavincenzo brings extensive insurance defense to the practice where he puts that insight to work for our clients. A 1985 graduate of the Duquesne Law School, he has also had experience in personal injury and toxic tort litigation.

Hendrick I. Penn, IV, Associate

Workers' compensation Attorney Hendrick I. Penn, IV, completed his undergraduate work at Washington and Jefferson College where he was the recipient of the President's academic scholarship for four straight years. He received a BA in both Political Science and English. Mr. Penn received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in June 2004, graduating with semester honors.

After his first year of law school, Mr. Penn served as law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence Kaplan in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, Family Division. He has been with Dugan & Associates since May 2003. Mr. Penn handles workers' compensation, social security and personal injury.

Shawn B. Olson, Associate

Focusing on workers' compensation, social security and personal injury law, Attorney Shawn Olson has been with Dugan & Associates since the spring of 2004. He received his BA from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2005. Prior to that he received certification as a neuromuscular therapist.

Mr. Olson brings to his practice a diverse occupational background that includes work in the building trades, in trucking, working as a therapist, a seminar lecturer and as an instructor of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology and human behavior at an allied health sciences school.
