Ms. Cardenas Conn is the founding partner of FAMILIA AMERICA, LLC, Immigration and Criminal Law, and an accomplished and results-driven legal professional with a 21-year record of successful representation of clients in state and federal courts. In October, 2001, she was recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the "Top Up and Coming Litigators in California", for her extensive and impressive courtroom successes for her clients. In 2009, Ms. Cardenas Conn commenced on an exclusive immigration practice, imparting to her clients her knowledge of immigration law and her ability to successfully navigate complex immigration matters. In May 2011, she was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of the "30 Women to Watch in Utah." Ms. Cardenas Conn is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Salt Lake City Chapter. Ms. Cardenas Conn is an active participant in the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., receiving 80 hours of training on complex immigration law issues. In November 2010, Ms. Cardenas Conn participated in a seminar held in El Paso, Texas with special guest Santiago Burciaga, Chief of the Immigrant Visa Section for the U.S. Consulate General Ciudad Juarez, where she obtained in-depth knowledge and strategies for successful Visa applications. In April, 2011, she co-wrote Utah Enacts Harsh Immigration Laws in CLINIC about Utah's State legislation regarding immigration. Ms. Cardenas Conn is an active member of the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Advisory Committee and Chamber, and is an independent member of the Utah Latino Legislative Task Force. She is the host of a Saturday morning radio show on Juan 106.1 F.M. educating her listeners on U.S. immigration laws. Ms. Cardenas Conn earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1990, and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1986. Ms. Cardenas Conn has been an active member of the California State Bar in good standing since 1991. She practices immigration exclusively in Utah and represents clients throughout the United States and abroad.
