The Firm’s employment practice encompasses several facets of employment law, primarily on behalf of management. Our clients range from government clients, to medium sized and small businesses. The Firm has also written, revised, and/or advised clients with respect to their personnel manuals.   We have prepared and negotiated executive employment contracts for government and private employees.  We have advised clients with respect to reorganizations and reductions-in-force.  Our legal services in this area may include risk analyses, employee communications and notices.

The Firm also has significant experience with all types of emergency relief actions, including temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions. 

In representing governmental entities, the Firm’s members have provided counsel to the staff of the D.C. Department of Insurance, Securities & Banking, and the D.C. Public Service Commission.  The Firm and its members have served as outside litigation counsel to DC Water, the District of Columbia Housing Authority, the Federal Insurance Deposit Corporation, and the Washington Convention Center Authority in addition to service as special counsel for the District of Columbia during the Securities & Exchange Commission’s investigation of the District’s municipal bond offerings.
