Legal Simplified - Lawyers Verified

I know that dealing with probate, trusts and estate planning is difficult for most clients.  My goal is to make the process easy to understand so the client is well informed and confident in making the often difficult personal choices that are involved.

I have been practicing in this area for the past 13 of my 35-year legal career.  I find this work especially rewarding.

When I draft living trusts, I am able to assist clients to fulfill their wishes for passing on their assets to their family and friends.  On the other end of the spectrum, when a client comes to me after a loved one dies, I try to provide some stability in a time of grieving and loss by starting to guide them through the process of estate administration, whether in connection with a trust or the confusing maze of probate.

In the event disputes arise during post-death estate administration, I have extensive litigation experience (as described below) that allows me to experlty represent my clients in resolving the diputes, including in probate court if necessary.

Contact me today if you need legal assistance with any of the following:

  • Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning
  • Probate and Trust Litigation
  • Conservatorship and Guardianship
  • Real Estate Transactions and Litigation

I am proud of the wide range of legal matters that I have handled.  The following is a summary of my legal experience beyond estate plannig, probate and trusts.

I have been a sole practicioner for the last 13 of my 35 years as an attorney.  Prior to going out on my own, I was involved with small to medium sized firms.  It was there that I gained invaluable experience working with great attorneys on cases that presented challenges in a wide variety of legal practice areas.

My initial training was in litigation where I learned the importance of being a quick study when faced with a myriad of fact patterns and legal issues, and that creativity was an integral part of providing the best representation for clients.  I have appeared in court reqularly in connection with motions, temporary restraining orders, and preliminary injunctions, as well as court and jury trials.

During my time associated with law firms, I had the opportunity not only to sharpen my litigaion and trial skills, but also to work with clients on matters involving complicated business and real estate transactions, prosecution of property tax appeals, protection of intellectual property, formation and dissolution of partnerships and corporations, interaction with municipal, county, state and federal governmental units and regulatory agencies, negotiation with insurance companies, and appellate work in both state and federal courts.

The business clients that I worked with were, for the most part, small to medium sized themselves.  Consequently, I learned quickly that in developing strategies for the legal needs of these clients it was necessary to always take into account that they were enterpreneural in nature and not big companies with unlimited legal budgets.

I continue to heed this lesson in all aspects of my practice, and it is particularly applicable to my dealings with probate, trust and estate planning clients.  Cients have a right to expect attorneys to work efficiently and produce timely results.  That is the goal to which I aspire with all my clients.
