Donald Kohl has been in practice since 1979. His areas of concentration include personal injury law, workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, commercial litigation, automobile accidents and injuries, premises liability, slip and fall, and nursing home negligence.
Mr. Kohl has an AV peer review rating, meaning that other attorneys have rated him at the highest level of professional excellence. He is a recognized speaker on the subjects of workers’ compensation and an advisor to other attorneys in the area of Social Security disability law and practice. Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Kohl was a prosecutor for St. Charles County and obtained a death penalty verdict in the state of Missouri against a convicted rapist and murderer. In concurrence with his private practice, Mr. Kohl has served as municipal judge for the City of St. Peters, MO since 1985. He is a graduate of the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis.
Michael Shea has been in practice since 1976 and is also an AV-rated attorney, the highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri -Kansas City School of Law. He has served as court-appointed counsel, guardian ad litem and mediator, and is recognized in the community for his valuable service on organization boards and advisories.
Mr. Shea is distinguished for his skills in family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation rights, adoption, and guardianship. His practice also includes probate and estate administration, as well as wills and trusts.
Mr. Shea is assisted in his practice by associate Joseph Kuhl, a 2003 graduate of the University of Missouri—Columbia School of Law. Mr. Kuhl has volunteered at a domestic violence clinic and was co-chair of one of the top defense verdicts in 2006.
