I run a boutique law firm that specializes in Criminal Defense, Employment Discrimination and Civil Rights Lititigation.   I have been practicing law since 1981.  During the first 22 years of practice, I served as a prosecutor in City and County of San Francisco.  In that capacity I served in the following positions:  Head of the Homicide Unit, where I ran that unit and successfully tried many murder cases; Head of the Sexual Assault Unit, where I ran the unit and successfully tried many rape and child abuse cases.  Next I served as Chief of the Criminal Divisions, where I oversaw all criminal prosecutions in the City and County of San Francisco.  Ultimately, I was assigned the position of Chief Assistant District Attorney, second only to the District Attorney himself, Terence Hallinan.
 
I started my private law firm in 2007, after retiring from the City and County of San Francisco.  My firm specializes in Criminal Defense and Plaintiff’s Employment Discrimination and Civil Rights Litigation.  In my career, I have successfully tried hundreds of cases, and have litigated civil cases that settled in the millions of dollars.
