What is DUI?

DUI put simply is operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. What does this mean to you? If you even have keys to your vehicle, and are in it, you could be convicted of DUI if other facts suggest you have been driving. This does not mean you will be convicted, just that you could be. A blood alcohol volume of 0.08% is legally unde rthe influence (drunk), but being under the influence can be drastically different from person to person.

Military DUI

We all know that DUI's are now being punished severely if you are in the military. They are being punished by the court, and by your command.
I come from a military family, with members in my family in the military traced from now to the Revolutionary War. I know what it means to get charged with DUI to you and your family.

On Base or other Federal installation-

This will be charged either through your command and you will receive NJP or it will be charged in the Federal court as a DUI.
