Verdicts & Settlements
Client charged with attempted murder, battery causing serious bodily injury, assault with a firearm, assault with force likely and gang enhancement allegations. After preliminary hearing, the attempted murder charge was dismissed. Jury found client not guilty of the battery, assault with the firearm and gang enhancements found not true.
Client charged with sexual penetration of a minor, under 5 years old. Jury found the client not guilty, only convicting of a lesser misdemeanor battery.
Client charged with assault with a vehicle and auto theft. Client was facing 20 years if convicted of the assault charge. After only 45 minutes of deliberation, the jury found Ms. Bajwa’s client not guilty on the assault charge thereby saving her client over a decade of imprisonment.
Client charged with 3 counts of assault and one count of battery, all felony charges. After a month-long trial, jury found the client not guilty of all assaults and only convicted on the battery.
Client charged with brandishing and “terrorist” threats (a strike offense). Client is offered a misdemeanor but rejects offer because he acted in self-defense. Ms. Bajwa argued self-defense throughout the trial and the jury found the client not guilty on all counts.
18 year old charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, a machete, and kidnapping. A conviction on these counts would force this young man to become a 3-striker. After preliminary hearing, we obtain a misdemeanor offer for credit time served. All other charges are dismissed.
Client is charged with battery. The prosecution brings in the only witness, a 10 year old to testify against the client. Through skillful cross-examination of the witness and the police officer, Ms. Bajwa showed the jury the bias on the part of the officer. The jury voted not guilty on one count and hung on the other. Case was dismissed.
18 year old charged with robbery. The prosecution alleged he acted with others in attacking and robbing another person. After preliminary hearing, Ms. Bajwa successfully negotiated for a misdemeanor conviction saving her client from a strike conviction.
Client is charged with burglary along with his co-defendants. At trial, the jury hung in favor of the client and the case was dismissed thereby saving her client from a strike conviction.
Client charged with a slew of charges including assault with a firearm and assault on a child with a weapon. The first offer was 5 years imprisonment to a strike offense with a maximum period of incarceration of 25 years if convicted of all charges. After preliminary hearing, Ms. Bajwa secured a non-strike, probation offer where her client only served local jail time.
