Professional Profiles
Attorney Judy J. Chang, Esq.
Judy J. Chang is a California and New York licensed attorney, specializing in the field of U.S. immigration and nationality law. She is also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Having grown up in Seoul, South Korea and Montreal, Canada, Ms. Chang received her B.A. Hon. (Scholar's Electives Program) from the University of Western Ontario and her law degree (LL.B.) from the University of Toronto Law School, where she was a co-director for a legal clinic and represented the rights and interests of immigrants and refugees from many different nations.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Chang taught international trade law at Tianjin and Suzhou Universities in China. Before founding J Global Law Group, Judy practiced U.S. immigration and nationality law at national and global law firms as part of the international transaction team and built an excellent track record of successfully representing a diverse clientele in challenging matters.
Ms. Chang is also a regular media contributor and a frequent guest speaker on a variety of legal issues dealing with foreign businesses and immigrants. She has also served the legal and immigrant community as a Regional Governor of the International Association of Korean Lawyers, Director of Korean American league for Civic Action, and Director of Korean-American Association of San Francisco and Greater Bay Area.
Her practice goal is to provide outstanding services both to her clients and to the community at large.
Attorney Reshma Shah Parmar, Esq.
Ms. Parmar is a senior attorney working for J Global Law as Of Counsel. She has 10 years of experience working exclusively in Business Immigration Law. She is experienced in Non-Immigrant cases (i.e., H-1B, TN, L-1, O-1, B-1/B-2, etc.) and Immigrant/Green card cases (PERM, NIW, EB1) and has represented both professional individual and corporate clients working at small and large law firms.
Through her representation efforts, she has been in contact extensively with USCIS, USDOL, USDOS and various sub immigration offices. Cases have included individual and fortune 500 companies as clients in the IT, Science/Research, Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical, Banking, Telecom, Biotech, Retail, Architecture, Education, Business/Marketing, Fine Arts/Graphic Design, and other sectors of the U.S. economy.
Ms. Parmar is an active member of the California Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association.
Attorney Yongki Hong, Esq.
Yongki Hong is a New York licensed attorney. He earned his Bachelor degree in Psychology as a magna cum laude from Adelphi University, and he earned J.D. degree from Albany Law School.
In the early part of his career, Mr. Hong received broad training covering criminal law, mental hygiene law, commercial and real estate transactions, and civil matters in addition to immigration law. His experience and knowledge of other areas of law help him make unique and valuable contributions to our clients’ immigration cases that often involve issues other than straight immigration goals.
Chris Park, Case Manager
Ms. Park holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Choongang University, Seoul and a paralegal certificate from Merritt College, California. Before joining J Global Law Group, Ms. Park has previously worked for large securities companies as well as reputable law firms.
Well-versed in all types of immigration matters and the intricate details of the case flow, Ms. Park coordinates legal document production and manages case status for J Global Law Group. She is fluent in English and Korean.
Phil Maher, Case Specialist
Phil Maher earned a B.S degree from Illinois State University, followed by Masters Degree in Film Studies from the University of Iowa. A gifted writer and artist, Mr. Maher has worked as a film journalist, book reviewer, and editor. Mr. Maher enjoys the challenge of researching and analyzing our clients’ specific industries, scientific research fields, and technical and artistic expertise and presenting the information in an accessible manner to the administrative bodies involved in case adjudication. Mr. Maher is also continuing a recreational career as a poet.
