Verdicts & Settlements

  • A minority shareholder in a closely held corporation was removed from management and thereafter received no dividends from the company.   Fellheimer & Eichen LLP successfully obtained a settlement of $1,500,000.00 from the corporation based on the company’s alleged manipulation of the corporation’s earnings.
     
  • Fellheimer & Eichen llp represented a developer who controlled corporate entities that owed 5 banks a combination of $50,000,000.00 which the developer had personally guaranteed.   Fellheimer & Eichen llp was able to structure a settlement with the banks that allowed the developer to return to the various financial institutions title to the projects they financed but which cancelled the personal guarantee of the developer and allowed the developer to retain his interests in other real estate ventures.
     
  • One million shares of stock belonging to an American manufacturing client was improperly released from escrow prior to being paid for by a custodian bank. The stock was delivered to Luxemburg where it was pledged as collateral for a loan to a European SICAV fund. Fellheimer & Eichen llp successfully negotiated with the parties involved and recovered the client’s stock.  Thereafter Fellheimer& Eichen’s client was paid an additional $750,000.00 in damages
     
  • A privately held technology client, a leader in its fields of international software and services, sought Fellheimer & Eichen llp’s help in its enforcement action of contractual confidentiality and restrictive covenants against a former account executive and the competitor that hired the former employee. Fellheimer & Eichen llp acted quickly to file for an injunction that lead to a negotiated settlement in which the client’s restrictive covenants were enforced and the competitor agreed to discontinue the former account executive’s employment.
     
  • A male employee who was improperly harassed by his superiors for taking Family Medical Leave and was forced to leave his position was represented by Fellheimer & Eichen llpand received $350,000.00 in a settlement of his claims.
