Labor Law
Labor law is the field of legal issues related to the workplace. This field encompasses everything from pension issues to workplace safety, health insurance and other benefits, discrimination claims and wage and hour issues. Labor law also includes collective bargaining issues, strikes and replacement worker matters and many forms of litigation. Many lawyers specialize in one aspect of this broad area of legal services. And, most lawyers exclusively represent either employers or individuals. The field is heavily regulated by state and federal legal provisions, as well as an large body of administrative rulings and procedures.
