Tennessee DUI Law - Information
You can be arrested for DUI when:
A person who operates a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, narcotic, hallucinogenic or habit-producing drug, or operates a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or more by weight of alcohol in the defendant's blood.

First Offense
- a fine of no more than $1,500.00
- possible term of imprisonment of no more than 11 months

- license suspension for no more than 1 year
Second Offense
- a fine of no more than $3,500.00

- license suspension for no more than 2 years
- mandatory ignition interlock
Third Offense
- a fine of no more than $10,000.00
- possible term of imprisonment of no more than 11 months
