Federal Court

Federal Court is the system of courts in which a broad range of disputes are litigated between people and businesses who are from different states or countries. In addition, Federal Court is where disputes that relate to federal statutes and administrative law are litigated. There are a body of procedural rules that apply to the proceedings in each of the eleven Federal Courts, often called circuit courts. Each has both a trial level and an appellate level. At the appellate level, tribunals of judges hear appeals from the trial court and occasionally from state courts and administrative courts.
