Mark A. Clausen has provided strategic and forceful representation of clients since the mid-1980s.  After working for many years with other firms, Mr. Clausen started his own practice in 1993.  The Clausen Law Firm works with a range of clients from private individuals to major companies that are household names, and he has handled major matters in Washington, Alaska, California, Texas and Michigan.

A native of Michigan, Mr. Clausen received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He served as an award-winning investigative reporter in Indiana after college. Mr. Clausen attended law school at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and received his law degree in 1984. In law school he was a moot court champion and a fellow in the John Marshall Society. After a judicial clerkship with the Washington Court of Appeals and Washington Supreme Court, 1984-85, he began in private practice. Mr. Clausen is admitted to practice in Washington State, the federal district courts of Washington, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Court of Claims.
