(In re: Nakash), representation of several defendants in the adversary proceedings brought in the case of In re: Crazy Eddie; representation of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the case of In re: Herald Center; and representation of certain creditors in the cases of In re: El Paso Electric Company; In re Braniff, Inc.; representation of a landlord in the case of In re: McCrory Corp., in which Mr. Tabachnik defeated the Debtor's efforts to assume his client's lease; and representation of the group owning the land lease involved with the Beverly Hills Barney's store in the case of In re: Barney's Inc. (In re: Colireen).
In addition, Mr. Tabachnik was one of the lead attorneys involved in the prosecution of Todd Michael Volpe in the bankruptcy court in connection with certain alleged fraudulent art schemes. Mr. Volpe subsequently pled guilty and was sentenced to a term of incarceration in connection with several counts of mail fraud regarding matters involved in the litigation.
