We are Houston serious injury lawyers who will aggressively fight to ensure that our clients receive a maximum recovery in injury cases. Our Houston serious injury attorneys focus exclusively on representing injured persons in serious personal injury matters. Most of our serious injury cases come from other referring lawyers across Texas that have heard of us and know that we obtain maximum results in serious personal injury lawsuits.
Our serious injury lawyers understand that when a person suffers a severe injury, it presents not only physical injuries, but also financial harm. In every serious personal injury case that we handle, we ensure that our client receives all compensation to which they are entitled as quickly as possible. Our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for our clients as quickly as possible. In some cases, it is not necessary to file a personal injury lawsuit, but instead a settlement is possible. Upon being hired, we act quickly to secure all necessary evidence in order to protect the rights of our clients. If no reasonable settlement is possible, we push the case to trial as quickly as possible. In addition, we ensure that our clients receive the best possible medical treatment.
We have extensive experience in handling catastrophic injury cases. As former defense counsel, we worked against many attorneys across the state of Texas that represented injured workers in serous personal injury cases. As a result of that experience, we learned what works, and what simply waists time. We have an in-depth understanding of not only personal injury law, but also how to get the best results for our clients. Additionally, we understand how insurance companies evaluate and handle claims. This also provides a significant advantage. Knowing one’s opponent is extremely helpful in a personal injury lawsuit. In addition, we have extensive medical and scientific knowledge. As a result of our unique experience combined with a desire to obtain the optimal results, we have recovered millions of dollars on behalf of our clients.
We are known as trial attorneys that understand the law, and have the experience, ability and resources to go the distance for our clients. In most cases, we pay for leading experts to investigate the cause of the accident and injury in order to obtain maximum results for our clients. Our opponents know that we will not hesitate to proceed to trial before a jury in order to obtain a favorable outcome for our clients.
We handle the following types of personal injury cases:
- Maritime & Jones Act Injury Claims
- Serious Truck & Auto Accidents
- Product Liability Lawsuits
- Serious Personal Injury Claims
- Non-Subscriber Workers Compensation Cases
We represent persons with many different types of injuries. We have extensive experience in representing persons with the following types of injuries: spine injuries, joint injuries, brain injury, serious nerve damage, broken bones, facial injuries, burn injuries, paralysis, wrongful death, and many other types of injuries.
As respected Houston personal injury lawyers, we treat every case as if it were our own. We understand that personal injuries involve not only physical pain and suffering, but also create economic and emotional injuries to the injured person as well as their family. We are committed to our clients and their cases and will not back down when hired to fight for them.
In injury cases, we work on a contingency fee — if there is no recovery then there is no fee, and no money will be asked of you.

Practice Areas and Legal Definitions
We are Houston based serious injury lawyers. We represent injured persons in many different types of serious injury cases. We accept a variety of serious personal injury cases across the state of Texas. From serious car wrecks to offshore injury, to products liability cases, our Houston serious injury attorneys represent injured persons across Texas in a wide range of cases and injuries. We have an in-depth understanding of the law and have a great deal of experience handling serious personal injury lawsuits throughout Texas. We are known as smart, aggressive Houston serious injury lawyers who are always prepared to go the distance for our clients. Our practice area includes the following:
Admiralty/Jones Act/Maritime Accidents:
Our Admiralty and maritime lawyers are well versed in the areas of law that regulate accidents and injuries of sea crew and passengers on ships, yachts and recreational boats. The Jones Act, a federal statute encompassing a very substantial portion of maritime and admiralty law, is the applicable law for the claims of ship crew members injured on the job. As creatures of the statute, Jones Act claims can be extremely complex and difficult to prosecute. Apart from dedicated maritime and admiralty law firms, few lawyers have much in the way of knowledge of these claims, and even fewer have any substantial experience in handling them. All too frequently, this results in mediocre and ineffective representation, and minimal financial compensation for the claimants. The statute of limitations for a maritime law injury suit is generally three years – however, if you or a loved one has been injured do not wait, call a lawyer now as under certain circumstances, the statute of limitations may be as short as one year!
Injuries occurring on platforms and other permanently affixed structures, including jack up rigs, often fall under the law of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. The determination of whether the claim falls under the law of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, state law, Jones Act or general maritime law is critically important to the claim. We have a great deal of expertise in each of these areas and will fight to recover the full measure of damages available under the governing law.
If you have suffered an offshore injury, you should move quickly to contact a maritime and admiralty attorney knowledgeable in the handling of such claims. Look for someone who has successfully litigated numerous maritime and admiralty injury cases.
Truck and Car Wreck Accidents:
Our truck and car wreck lawyers understand that serous motor vehicle accidents can cause serious injuries and damages. We obtain the maximum property damage and personal injury damages for our clients. In many cases, insurance adjusters handling a claim will not voluntarily pay the maximum amount of money that an injured person is entitled to. We recommend that persons who are involved in a motor vehicle accident contact a knowledgeable car wreck attorney as soon as possible. In many cases, critical evidence must be gathered soon after the accident. Moreover, without an experienced car wreck lawyer by your side, the insurance adjuster may gain the upper hand and reduce the value of your claim.
Having formerly represented multiple national car rental companies, we have a unique understanding of how insurance companies handle car and truck wreck cases. As a result, we are very successful in obtaining maximum results for our clients in the shortest amount of time.
Product Liability Cases:
Every year thousands of persons are injured by dangerous and defective products. In many cases, the manufacturer of the defective product is aware of the dangerous defect, but elects not to fix the problem or properly warn consumers because they feel that it would cost too much money. We fight to protect the legal rights of persons injured by dangerous and defective products of all type. In holding manufacturers and distributers of dangerous products responsible for their products, we believe that product safety and quality will increase.
Spine Injuries:
Our serous injury lawyers understand that spine injuries are both painful and debilitating. We understand the complex nature of spine and nerve injuries. Whether the injury is to the neck (cervical spine) mid-back (thoracic spine) or the lower back (lumbar spine), it is critical that you hire an attorney that understands the medical and legal issues involved in a pine injury. We have handled hundreds of cases involving spine and disc injuries. Due to the complex nature of spine injuries, in many cases, we retain leading experts in order to ensure that our client’s are receiving the best possible treatment, and also in order go the extra mile to explain the injury to a jury.
Burn Injuries:
People who have suffered and survived the agony of second, third and even fourth degree burns describe the pain they experienced as among the most severe of all traumatic injuries. Personal injuries involving severe burns commonly result from explosions, fires, electric shock and accidental exposure to harmful chemicals and, rarely, radiation exposure aboard ship.
Brain Injuries:
Brain injuries are devastating both to the injured person, as well as their family. Brain injuries are serious injuries that require specialized, and many times, long term treatment. As a result, traumatic brain injuries require a recovery not only for the injury, but often for long term medical care. We fight to obtain all financial compensation and medical care to which an injured person is entitled.
Wrongful Death:
A wrongful death occurs when a person is killed due to the negligence or misconduct of another individual, company, or organization. A legal action for wrongful death belongs to the decedent's immediate family members, usually a surviving spouse and children, and sometimes parents. Under certain circumstances, unrelated minor children living with and supported by the decedent may also bring a claim for wrongful death. In order to bring a successful wrongful death cause of action in Texas, the following elements must be present:
- The death of a human being
- Caused by another's negligent or intentional conduct
- The survival of family members who are suffering the loss of financial support, love, care, comfort, supervision, guidance, household assistance and general society previously provided by the deceased
The general rule in wrongful death cases is that one is entitled to recover both economic and non-economic damages which are suffered as a result of the loss of a loved one. Economic damages in a wrongful death case include an award for the financial contributions which the decedent would have made to his wife, children and/or parents had he or she survived. It also includes the recovery for funeral services in memory of the decedent and for burial costs. Non-economic damages include loss of love, society, companionship, comfort, affection, society, solace or moral support.
