Employment Insurance
Employment insurance generally falls into three categories. The first category is worker’s compensation. This protects an employee by providing benefits in the event of a work-related injury or illness. The second category is health protection, often provided for no cost by companies. The third, most common for key executives in small companies is a key-man policy. This actually protects the business for losses in the event of the death or disability of the key person. Investors often require this to be in place. Many skilled lawyers can assist people and businesses in understanding the best ways to use all three categories of employment insurance.
