Cobra Insurance

Cobra insurance is a specific form of coverage related to the wide realm of employer-provided health coverage. It is often based on a co-pay or employee contribution with employer matching funds basis. Policies can be complex and often times an employer will consult with a policy expert or an attorney in crafting the specific benefit to be provided to employees. The reason for the complexity is that Cobra insurance is specifically for coverage after a person’s formal employment has ended. The law provides for many loopholes and limitations that can be confusing to people. However, it also provides very important benefits to people who have lost their jobs.
