Criminal Background Check Lawyers

A criminal background check is often commenced prior to hiring a person or engaging in other relationships. The law allows people to conduct such investigations, but does impose certain limitations around how the information may be used. In this country, when a person is convicted of a crime he or she does lose certain rights. While many rights are gained back after the sentence has been served, the record of the offense is retained. A criminal background check involves a search of those records and can be used to help a company determine whether or not a person has the character necessary to qualify them for employment.
