Criminal Attorney

A criminal attorney specializes in cases involving the alleged commitment of a crime. A lawyer who represents the government is called a prosecutor. Lawyers who represent criminal defendants are often called defense counsel. The lawyers attend a variety of hearings leading up to a trial and the criminal attorney must be skilled not only in the procedures and process, but in arguing persuasively before judge and jury about the facts of a case.
