Trademark Infringement
Trademark infringement occurs when a person or business uses a trademark owned by another person without authorization. In many cases, the trademark infringement suit will allege that the trademark being used by another person is too similar to another registered trademark and thus is an infringement on the trademark rights of the aggrieved party. Trademark infringement lawyers bringing such suits on behalf of a client must prove that the similar trademark being used will probably confuse consumers about the origin of a product or service. Infringement, if proven, can result in a court ordering the infringing party to stop using the mark in commerce and may also impose fines.
