Probate Law
Probate law governs the distribution of property from a decedent’s estate when there is no will. A probate law attorney may represent a party at meetings and hearings during the process. He or she may seek to introduce evidence showing a particular intention on the part of the decedent with regard to the state. However, without a will, state statutory provisions regarding distribution of the state normally are followed explicitly.
