Felonies & Misdemeanors can be thought of as two different levels of criminal offense. A felony is the more serious level of offense and can often carry prison sentences for convictions. Most cases involving misdemeanors carry lesser or no prison time. However, both felonies & misdemeanors are a part of one’s criminal record unless expunged by a court of law.
