Federal Law
Federal Law is a body of common law, statutory law and administrative law. Federal Law is created by the federal government, the federal administrative agencies and the federal courts. Cases that involve federal law are tried in the federal court system. There are eleven federal circuit courts in the federal court system, each with a trial and appellate level. In addition, federal law issues are tried before federal administrative bodies and special courts, including the EEOC, the Tax Court and the NLRB.
