Disability Law
Disability law involves cases in which a person was injured or suffered serious illness in the context of their employment. There is both federal and state law which covers this field. Worker’s Compensation is federal statutory regulation that provides a schedule of benefits depending on the seriousness of an illness or injury. However, disability law can also involve state regulatory provisions and issues related to health care coverage. Cases may proceed through the Worker’s Compensation process or through the civil litigation process.
