Defective
A defective product may be reported to the consumer protection agency of your state. In most states, when enough complaints are lodged against a person or business the state will investigate. In addition to these consumer-generated processes, many major lawsuits are brought annually alleging a defective product has injured people. Often, these cases are called class-action cases and can have hundreds or thousands of plaintiffs. When such a case involves a product it is also referred to as a products liability case.
